About this project
We were asked by a large shopping complex, housing various restaurants, to come in and clean a high level louvre. The grease from the ventilation system was discolouring the building and dripping onto the walkway below. The louvre was located on a busy service road, of the complex, and approximately 20 meters in height. We used our vast experience to plan a safe working procedure, using high-level access equipment and a specialised high-powered water delivery system.
Due to the location and height of the louvre, careful planning and coordination were essential to ensure the safety of both operatives and members of the public. Works were scheduled to minimise disruption to the shopping centre’s daily operations, particularly within high traffic service areas used by staff, suppliers and delivery vehicles.
Our team utilised specialist high access equipment alongside a controlled cleaning process to safely remove grease and contamination from the louvre system. This not only restored the external appearance of the building but also prevented further staining and potential slip hazards caused by grease dripping onto walkways below.
Following completion, the area was left clean, safe and fully operational, with the client provided guidance on ongoing maintenance to prevent future build-up and ensure long term performance of the ventilation system.
