Safeflow were contacted by Bradford Hospital to undertake a comprehensive survey and testing report on fire dampers located throughout multiple sites across the hospital trust.
The survey and testing involved liaising with the hospital and gaining access to intrusive area’s including operating theatres and accident and emergency departments.
Over a period of 2 months more than 900 dampers were located and tested. We ensured all of the dampers met the HTM 03-01 and BS9999:2008 standards.
After completion of the testing a report was compiled and sent to the hospital.
After the testing Safeflow were asked to carry out remedial work including removing and replacing the defective dampers. This was in order for the hospital to gain compliance.
Safeflow worked closely with site teams to carefully plan access to critical areas, ensuring all works were carried out safely and with minimal disruption to essential hospital operations. All testing and remedial works were completed in line with healthcare compliance requirements, with full traceability and reporting provided for each damper.
