At Safeflow Ventilation we complete ventilation, duct and grease extract cleaning every day for all types of restaurants. Whether you own a Chinese, Italian, Thai, Greek or any other style of restaurant – keeping on top of your kitchen hygiene should be at the forefront of your daily tasks.
Over 50% of restaurants that contact us for their first inspection have left things too long and the build-up of grease or other product in their ventilation system is above average and at risk of fire.
This particular project was for the Liverpool branch of a national food chain restaurant, upon our inspection visit, it was immediately clear that the kitchen extract system was heavily contaminated and would require a full clean. The access to the ventilation system was not appropriate to allow us to complete a full clean efficiently and safely therefore part of our remedial works was to also install several access hatches.
During this specific restaurants extract system works, we cleaned all kitchen areas including canopy’s, risers, ceiling voids and all duct work. As you can see from the supporting pictures, the contamination build up was heavy and requires several cleaning techniques to be applied in order to successfully clean.
Cleaning techniques included hand scraping, chemical de-carbonising, hand wiping and finishing techniques. Both our team & client were really happy with the final outcome and as a result we now have a scheduled maintenance contract with all UK franchisees which will allow us to keep all restaurants clean and risk free from fire.
